Terry is a native of the Northwest but now resides in British Columbia and paints wildlife and landscapes of North America. Terry paints predominately in acrylics and strives to capture not only the characteristics of his subjects, but also the light that surrounds them. He takes a great deal of care to depict both his subjects and their habitats with accuracy. Momma and baby tiger will be the painting subject. Reference photo shown.. www.terryisaacsart.com.

 

David Kitler/Acrylic Wildlife

David will return from Calgary to teach an acrylic wildlife painting workshop. He will review drawing and painting basics while also teaching his method of applying washes over opaque layers to create realistic images. Attention will be given to choosing the best composition, creating depth and the use of light in your paintings. Learning is further facilitated by live demos, slide shows and a critique of students work. Kim will return to Arts Desire after a many years absence and teach his unique techniques featuring these beautiful roses. His special painting surface, paints and odor free mediums are provided and included in the class fee., Just bring your brushes! Painting is on display.

Brian Davis is a master floral artist who is coming to teach a 5 day workshop. Brian captures light and shadows as they exist in nature and transfers them to the painting surface with his unique attention to texture to and detail. The May class will be a 16x16 pink rose with dew drops(reference photo shown). A grisaille value study is done before applying color. This is a unique opportunity and class size is limited to 12. Our previous workshops with Brian were great!
